During a recent visit to the Bishop’s Arts District, we decided to try Craft Boba Tea. It was a very hot afternoon as many days in Texas are, and so an iced beverage was sounding pretty good at the time.

Upon entering the cafe, we found the menu and were delighted to see that not only were many vegan options listed, but they were also clearly marked with symbols so it was easy to identify. We appreciate anytime a restaurant or cafe takes this extra step, as it makes things super simple and helps those vegans out there feel welcome!

Vegan options aside, we were even more excited to discover that Craft Boba Tea offers winter melon! Now, if you’ve never tried a winter melon drink before, you simply must the next time you have an opportunity. It features a unique taste that is somewhat reminiscent of a honey dew melon but sweeter. It is difficult to describe but I will leave you with this – it is a delicious fruit that goes by many names and is enjoyed by many cultures, predominately asian. It is a rare find at boba tea shops and is my hubby’s absolute favorite. So when we saw that this was an option, we knew we had to try it!

And we were not disappointed! We both tried the winter melon slush drink, but I chose to include traditional boba pearls in mine. We agreed that this was one of the best winter melon drinks we have ever tried, and we have tried quite a few! The frozen slushy was a welcomed treat to help beat the heat of that afternoon, for sure.

As far as pricing goes, we found their prices to be on par with other boba shops. Staff at the cafe were friendly and happy to answer any questions that we had.

So whether you’re interested in trying the elusive winter melon flavor or not, we highly recommend Craft Boba Tea at the Bishop’s Arts District for a fun, delicious treat the next time you’re in the area. With so many options and varieties of drinks to try, we’re confident that you can find something that will suite your taste.

Stay cool, Texans!
